Few things a Designer should know

An exercise aimed at creating a list of things that I consider important for designers. As technology, people, and our spaces change, this list will also change.
- How users look for information
- How to pretend you know, what you really don’t know
- When to stop working and take a walk
- Present your work as a compelling story, focused on your users
- More communication is not good communication, understanding is
- Learn about the industry you work in (ie, banking, mobility, farming, etc)
- Learn from others’ mistakes
- When your team grows, it becomes more important to organize your files
- Comfort can be the enemy, actively seek out people who are different than you
- There’s no such thing as perfection, but iterations will take you close to it
- How to pretend you know, what you really don’t know
- Your unique background brings a unique perspective to the team, trust your perspective
- Design for your own joy
- A little bit of coding
- Most users don’t know what they want
